The BTES project encompassed all of the City of Bristol Tennessee and Sullivan County with a Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployment. BTES provides triple-play services over the telecommunications network. In addition, the network is being used to gather data for Smart Grid applications. BTES and Dr. Browder are leaders in implementing real-world solutions for saving energy such as metering time of use.

This project represents the first FTTH deployment based on cost/demand economics—the network build was prioritized based on take-rate and demand for service.
