General responsibility for all business development, strategic planning, technology, and resources. 

1989 – 1996 GENERAL MANAGER
Monroe Utilities Network
Monroe, GA
Responsible for all aspects of utility operation including personnel, customer service, finance and accounting, engineering and operations.  The Water, Light & Gas Commission is a city owned utility system providing electric, natural gas, water and wastewater, and cable TV services.

1983 – 1989 SYSTEM ENGINEER
Walton Electric Membership Corporation,
Monroe, Georgia
Responsibilities included supervision of Drafting and Mapping, Meter & Apparatus, Staking, and Dispatching services; Development and review of material specifications; SCADA programming; system planning functions; retail rate design; computerizing system circuits for fault current, voltage drop, etc.. Practical field experience included supervision of installation on a broad range of distribution system construction services

1981 – 1983 OPERATIONS ENGINEER
Appalachian Power Company
Roanoke, Virginia
Responsible for the voltage control section of the Operating Department where duties included monitoring and maintaining reliable system transmission voltage levels by selecting transformer tap settings, coordinating large shunt capacitors, selecting generating plant voltage schedules, etc..
