Kit Carson Electric Cooperative gears up FTTH Deployment

As Kit Carson Electric Cooperative gears up to spend $64 million to install 2,900 miles of broadband cable, the buzzwords on everyone’s lips are “local jobs.”

The co-op is hoping 90 percent of those hired for the entire project will be from within the Kit Carson service area. But a lack of technical expertise in the area could make it hard to reach that goal.
